About me

I was born in Sichuan in 1991 and have never been away from it for long.
In 2016 I used my savings to buy a second-hand camera, and at first I only shot Chengdu at night on my way home from work. Gradually the list grew: streets in the rain, old men at the mahjong table, a single cup on a tea table, and the mountains and lakes I head west to every year.
I’m not chasing “beautiful.” If a photograph keeps the smell of that afternoon, I count it as made.
These days I work alone, taking commissions in brand imagery, interiors, portraits and books, and setting aside a few weeks every year to go out and shoot my own work. For prints or the photobook, just write to me.
